Victorian Dining Table Restoration

The table came to us with heat rings across the leaf and a top coat that had gone milky under years of spills. Stripping it would have taken the colour with it, so we cut back only the failed film.

Twelve bodied-up sessions later the grain reads at full depth again, and the owner's grandmother's repair to the pedestal is still visible, which is exactly what they asked for.
